In San Francisco we met

Penang Island is quite a small place and the Indian community is kinda compressed. If they are temple going families, we should at least bump into them once or twice ( despite the fact that Penang has the most number of temples in Malaysia).

In my recent visit to the Kauai Hindu Monastery ( Kauai Adheenam) at Hawaii, I was telling Saravananatha Swami that I am from Penang and that I would be travelling to San Francisco for my field trips.Swami thought it would be great to arrange someone to assist me with my stay in California. Hence,Swami told me about a family from Penang that have migrated to California and Swami took the initiative to put us  in contact via email. 

And to my surprise, I actually 'know' this family.I have seen them many times, just that we didn't know each other, so I never bothered to talk to them neither I knew anything else about this family till I meet them last week.Sivaram Eswaran anne is a Penang chap, graduated from UUM. He is  married to an American lady, from California. Sivaram anne,  and his family usually visits temples in Penang every week. He and his wife just migrated to California after 7 years of marriage and 2 kids.

We are from the same state back in Malaysia, but in San Francisco we met.  
Sivaram anne, his wife, his mother-in-law and  his son came down to my place and gave me a memorable visit.

I couldn't thank their family more, as they took the effort, time and energy to drive one hour just to see me. In fact, I was so touched for all their kindness towards me, to spend time for me and Mrs Sivaram actually cooked dinner for me. 

It was  a great pleasure meeting them as they were super nice to me.Everyone was so friendly even though it was only our 1st meetin which unfortunately ended in 2 hours! Looking forward to meet them again, sometime... somewhere in my life.
